1. General Provisions

1.1 Introduction

Welcome to Stride. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of the Stride mobile application ("Application") and the services provided through it ("Services"). By using the Application, you enter into a binding agreement with [Company Name] IKE ("Stride", "we", "us", "our").

1.2 Acceptance of Terms

By registering, creating an account, or using the Application, you accept these Terms in full and without reservation. If you do not agree with any provision, please do not use the Application.

1.3 Amendment of Terms

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Amendments take effect from the moment of their publication in the Application. 1.4 Definitions

2. Nature of the Platform and Liability Disclaimer

2.1 Information Society Service Provider

The Application constitutes exclusively a digital "information society service provider" and does not in any way provide transportation services.

2.2 No Contractual Party

Stride is not a contracting party to any agreement, contract, or contractual relationship of any nature entered into between Members. Any carpooling arrangement made through the Application is exclusively between the Driver and the Passenger(s). Stride merely provides the technological means for Members to connect.

2.3 No Intervention in Trips

Stride does not intervene in any way in trips, destinations, meeting points, routes, or schedules, which are decided freely, autonomously, and mutually between the Driver and the Passenger.

2.4 No Guarantee of User Conduct

Stride does not guarantee, control, or bear responsibility for the conduct, driving ability, reliability, honesty, or safety record of any User. Stride assumes absolutely no civil, criminal, or administrative liability for road accidents, thefts, damages, injuries, losses, or disputes of any nature arising during or in connection with a ride.

2.5 Verification Disclaimer

Any reference in the Application to "verified" information, accounts, or documents means exclusively and solely that a Member has successfully completed a specific technical verification procedure (e.g., phone number verification or document submission). Stride does not guarantee under any circumstances the truthfulness, reliability, legality, validity, or accuracy of the information that is the subject of the verification procedure. A "verified" badge is not an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee of any kind regarding the safety, honesty, or history of any Driver or Passenger.

2.6 Chat Privacy

The in-app messaging service ("Chat") is intended exclusively for necessary communications regarding the ride. Chat content remains strictly private, and Stride has no ability or obligation to intervene in, monitor, or moderate private messages, except as required by law or to enforce these Terms.

3.4 Account Security

You are exclusively responsible for:

3.5 Accuracy of Information

You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information. The use of false identity information or the impersonation of third parties is strictly prohibited and constitutes grounds for immediate account termination.

4. Mandatory Declarations

4.1 By Using the Application, You Declare and Confirm That:

a) You confirm that you are an adult and understand that the Platform is exclusively an information society service provider and not a transport company. The Platform assumes absolutely no civil, criminal, or administrative liability for road accidents, damages, or the conduct of other Users during the ride.

b) You accept that the service relates exclusively to expense sharing and that generating profit is strictly prohibited. You assume exclusive responsibility to demonstrate, in case of audit by Authorities, that the amounts received constitute exclusively reimbursement for the sharing of actual trip expenses and not income.

c) You solemnly declare that you hold a valid driving license and that you have confirmed with your insurance provider that your policy covers the transport of passengers for expense-sharing purposes. (Applicable when publishing rides as a Driver.)

d) You acknowledge that the indication "verified user/document" means only the completion of a technical process by the system and does not constitute a guarantee by the Platform regarding the safety, honesty, or history of any Driver or Passenger.

5. Publishing Rides (Drivers)

5.1 Driver Requirements

To publish a ride as a Driver, you must:

5.2 Vehicle Registration

When registering a vehicle, you must provide:

Van-type vehicles are strictly excluded from the Application.

5.3 Ride Details

When publishing a ride, the Driver specifies:

5.4 Ride Frequency Limit

Each User is limited to a maximum of two (2) rides per day as a Driver. This limit exists to ensure the genuine carpooling character of the service and prevent commercial exploitation.

5.5 Intercity Restriction

The Application permits only intercity transport, from one prefecture (nomos) to another, within Greece. Same-city rides are not permitted.

5.6 Non-Commercial Purpose of Carpooling

Carpooling through the Application operates exclusively on a non-profit basis. The cost set by the Driver must correspond exclusively to a fair share of the actual expenses of the journey (such as fuel and tolls) that the Driver would have undertaken in any case for personal reasons.

5.7 Toll Cost Estimates

The Application provides estimated toll costs for routes that include toll roads. These estimates are calculated based on publicly available toll pricing data and the route selected by the Driver. Users acknowledge and accept that:

5.8 Driver Commitments

By publishing a ride, the Driver commits to:

6. Searching and Booking Seats (Passengers)

6.1 Searching for Rides

Passengers may search for rides based on:

6.2 Ride Alerts

Passengers may create Ride Alerts for specific search criteria. When a new ride matching those criteria is published, the Passenger receives a push notification automatically. Ride Alerts can be created and managed through the Application.

The booking process is completed in three steps:

  1. Selection of ride and number of seats
  2. Confirmation of booking details
  3. Submission of booking request with an optional message to the Driver

The booking is completed only after the Driver accepts the request.

6.4 Booking Restrictions

6.5 Ride Statuses

Each ride may be in one of the following statuses:

6.6 Passenger Commitments

7. Financial Terms

7.1 Expense Sharing

The cost that Passengers pay represents exclusively their share of the actual trip expenses. The Driver sets the cost per passenger when publishing the ride.

7.2 Maximum Cost Cap

To structurally prevent profit generation, an absolute maximum cost limit is set based on the current legal mileage reimbursement rate for judicial representatives (Law 4336/2015), defined at 0.20 EUR per kilometer plus tolls for the vehicle in total. The Application calculates a suggested expense-sharing framework based on an algorithm that considers distance, fuel type, and vehicle consumption. In no case may the cost per passenger exceed this maximum limit.

7.3 Method of Payment

Payment of the expense share is made exclusively and directly between Passengers and the Driver, without any involvement whatsoever of the Platform. The parties agree on the payment method between themselves (cash or other means).

7.4 Free Use of the Application

The use of the Stride Application is provided free of charge to users. Stride does not collect commissions or fees on payments between Drivers and Passengers.

7.5 Prohibition of Profit

Carpooling through the Application must remain a non-commercial, non-profit activity. Drivers seeking profit or operating as professional carriers violate these Terms and applicable legislation. Additional charges beyond the actual cost of the ride are strictly prohibited.

7.6 Tax Responsibility

Amounts received by Drivers must, under the law, cover exclusively the sharing of expenses. It is the exclusive, individual tax responsibility of each Driver to document this fact to the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) in case of audit, fully releasing the Platform from any liability.
